Ok, dd is 6 months and well established on her breakfast cereal. Rice, sunshine orange etc. Dinner is another story. Have tried jars, powders and home made slop. Sweet potato, carrots, parsnips and she won't take them. She just clamps her mouth shut and refuses. I know she has to get used to it but in the meantime I'm having to still give her a bottle to fill her in the evening, I only do this after trying to feed her for a good twenty mins or so. Can anyone let me know if this is normal and if anyone has experienced this what food did you give that your lo's took to? Or is there herbs that I can add to the food so it doesn't taste so bland.
Thanking you all in advance.

bland is good for babies;they have sensitive taste buds! no rush at 6 mths, just keep offering. Soon you can try soft finger foods which might be more appealing to her.
milk is supposed to be main food for 1st 12 mths.

Thanks shazronnie I was worrying about her needing extras you know? I can't put her on the follow on milks because she's on Lacto Free formula. But I'll keep trying different foods.

totally normal. when she has the appetite for another solids meal she'll eat one. also, there's nothing wrong with having food you know she likes at dinner time too - rice, fruit etc. In any case it is better to try new food earlier on in the day just in case of any advserse reactions. My ds was only on one solids meal a day till about 9 months.
