Quick help please - chutney virgin in mid brew

How thick should a chutney be before bottling? I'm doing that runner bean chutney recipe of the week. I've been simmering for what seems like ages with extra corn flour added. It still seems like beans in runny liquid vinegar. Does it thicken after bottling?

Optimistic needy bump.

A little, but not masses - I find these things always take longer than you expect! If it's really runny, you might add a couple of apples?

Apples sounds good, thanks Bolshie . Am going to investigate ...

how did it go BettyBotter? I left mine to simmer for ages as it didn't thicken - then it did go the consistency I would expect. On first taste before jarring it seems incredibly sweet to me.
