But have no idea what to do!

I have never cooked a joint of meat before. Is all chicken breast, chops and steak.

I know there are ten tonnes of ways to cook gammon in the slow cooker, but all the ones I've seen contradict each other. Some say no liquid, some say an inch or so at the bottom, some say cover the joint.

What is your easy, fool proof, lovely every time recipes please?

There's a lovely way to do it with a jar of BBQ sauce all over the ham then coke poured in too, there's threads on here somewhere with all the info but I can't do the linky thing on my phone.

Lovely - just honey and cloves will work it's magic too.

I heard coke is great though never tried it.

I did gammon last week with a sliced onion and a can of coke, literally put gammon and onion in slow cooker, pour coke over and put it on for about 6 hours - it was lovely! You don't serve the liquid with it btw.

What ILikeToClean says

If you google 'Nigella coca cola ham' you will get the version of the recipe we use.

I make a gravy by adding the juices of the ham (not the coca cola remnants) and some cranberry or redcurrant jelly. It is really, really fine!

Don't put Cola over meat there's no need gammon is lovely on its own. Pour boiling water over the gammon then put it in the slow cooker with an inch of boiling water-and that's it!Grin

I just put my gammon in slow cooker and leave all day turning once then I serve with cauliflower broccoli and cheese sauce Grin
