have a large debt to pay to my dh, and I want to take him out for the seriously best meal London can provide. He's a big fan of food. He's been to Pied a Terre, the Glass House and a number of others with stars (whose names escape me at the momemt) but not Gordon Ramsey's. Is that the one I should go for?

Never rated a JO meal yet! (Monte's was one of the worst meals I have ever had!)

Odd. Hmm. Well the Maitre d' was like a cockney Jack Dee. He was SO odd. Very aggressive and rude and mad. At the end he shuffled up to us and shoved a bit of paper at us - it was a voucher for a free tasting menu (worth £70) which I still have and must use. We arrived at 7.30 and were still eating at 1am!

Still the food was worth it and pph assures me that Jack Dee has gone (though he was rather fun - I think he may have been drunk)
