Recipe for crumbly fudge.

Have eaten some and it didn't belong me!!!

I needed it!!!

DD very understanding but would like to know how take it and surprise her.

More like butter tablet than chewy fudge though.

Well I don't have a recipe, but I do know that after you've boiled all the ingredients up for the requisite amount of time, you need to turn the heat off & let the pan cool for about 10 mins before beating it with electric beaters until it goes thick & "opaque" (not glossy). In theory any fudge recipe should work as long as you follow the above instruction

My mum's recipe , one bag of sugar, one tin of condensed milk pref. Fussels, knob of butter, cup of milk. Stir, gradually bring to boil, stirring all the time, boil for 20 mins still stirring well then follow the steps mentioned above.

It's tablet by the way, effectively the same as crumbly fudge.

I always turn the heat right up at the end to make sure it sets but you have to be vigilant about burning.

I probably wouldn't leave it as long as 10 mins before beating though.
