put it under a sieve (the holes are too small for bonkers fly to get at it)? Or you could by one of those little nets specifically designed for the job

chicken is happy cooling in tupperware box with lid, my mums coming in about 10 mins to eat it....cold with sald so it needs to be cool :)

I thought..seem to think I read something somewhere..it is probably safer to put food straight into the fridge as it chills more rapidly, but will not overly increase the temp of the fridge.

Noooo, not lid on tupperware, leg will go all sweaty - teatowel (clean, pref) over top.

Well if you want it cold in 10 mins stick it in the freezer!
