I am planning a party for some friends ( only women, no children and no alcohol) in the afternoon for about 2.5 hours or 3 hours
Most of the food will be finger food ( apart from the cake). Nothing bigger that a quarter of a sandwich ( but not sandwiches)
Please tell me now many pieces per person?
The caterer said 8 in average per person. What do you think???

I would think 8 would be correct. Are you including including sweet and savoury?

I would allow a round and a half so 6 quarters per head for afternoon tea plus cakes.

8 items seems reasonable.

That is excellent!!! Yes I am allowing for savoury and sweets....
Many thanks....

If not abusing..what about drinks. We plan to serve juices and maybe some fizzy drinks. How many glasses ( 7oz or 200ml per person?)

Well I am always generous with alcohol I usually allow somewhere approaching a bottle per person a bottle holds 5 standard glasses, i would think it would be sensible to allow 3/4 glasses per person. Unless it is very hot I would allow the same for soft drinks or Pimms.

If you have older ladies attending, cups of tea are always appreciated.

Enjoy.
