Any pasta machine recommendations please?

Do you have a pasta machine and if so, would you recommend it? I have read online that Imperia seem to be the best make to go for, would you agree? Being a homemade-pasta-novice, is there anything in particular that I need to look out for when buying? Thanks

I have an Imperia. When I was researching it always came up with the best reviews. There are two things that really bug me about it:

  1. The clamp to attach it to the tabletop isn't very good, so it often moves around
  2. The handle for turning the machine quite often pops out

That said, it does the job, albeit sometimes not as efficiently/neatly as you'd hope!

I absolutely recommend having a pasta machine if you enjoy home made pasta. Would I buy this particular one again? Probably, only because I don't know of a better one!! (And lots of the reviews of cheaper models said they broke...)

Oh, also, the one I bought came with a ravioli attachment but the moulds are way too small to actually make ravioli. I don't bother with a mould and just cut out squares then seal them together, but if you're particularly fussed about that, look out for one with a decent sized ravioli attachment!
