I A Makjng A Birthday Cake. And It Will Be A 2 Tier. I Am Using Buttercream Frosting. DO iI Need The Dowels And Cake Board? AnyHelp Would Be Appreciated.

I always use them for tiers and in this weather, it would certainly be advisable.

yes!

Basically if you are doing a tier cake you need dowels and cake boards.

I'm afraid you do, even though its a sponge cake you need to put your 2nd tier on the same size cake card, then dowel the cake and put the cake on top secured down by some royal icing also.
