Kids and lentils (or chick peas?)

Hi

I'm trying to get our kids eating more veggie food; anything with cheese is fine, but while DD likes baked beans, DS thinks they are food of the devil and won't eat anything with beans (pulses) in.

Does anyone have any recipes with lentils or perhaps chick peas, that are foolproof winners? I'm doing a soup just now which they are OK with, but something more solid would be good...

Thanks for any help offered!

Kids love butter beans in a tomato sauce. Puy lentils with sausages in tomato sauce. They like to snack on chickpeas, have them in curries, cooked with tomato, garlic and loads of extra virgin olive oil ( adults add chilli) used to make a black eyed bean salad with sweetcorn - fresh stuff is best, lime, garlic and fresh coriander, served with tortilla's coated in oil and baked. Boston beans, not veggie though. Put Puy lentils into Bolognaise. Puy lentil and either Cheshire or feta in a puff pastry tart. Black eye bean burgers, veggie chilli with kidney beans - flavour chilli with cumin, ground coriander and oregano - add chilli later for adults.

We're big fans of lentils and pulses in our household. Our particular favourites that haven't already been mentioned above include: this moroccan carrot and chickpea stew,
Lentil lasagne which is generally a winner with meateaters too.
Or, what about a chilli but without the heat- this chilli uses blackbeans and is great served up in wraps.
