Freezing peas

I froze some fresh garden peas last night but I didn't have time/energy/a big enough clean saucepan to blanch them. How necessary is it to blanch? Will the peas be OK if we eat them say within the next few weeks.

Anyone have any tips please?

No it's not necessary, I couldn't be bothered once to blanch a whole load of peas, beans etc so froze them all and they were absolutely fine, so now I never blanch anything. Lazy gardener me Smile
