In a few weeks we come over to the UK from Germany and I have to stock up on loads of things that we can't get over here. One thing that is especially rubbish in Germany is tea. we like really strong black tea so seeing as I have been out of the UK for years and my family there only drink tetley (find it weak) can you reccomend which brand to go for? I don't want to spend my holiday trying teas out! Last time I took breakfast tea from asda I think but it wasn't really strong either. Thanks for any tips for saving my shopping time.

If you like it you can buy it online for oversea delivery, too.

Asda's own is ok. I like mine quite stron and use their decaf all the time.

I like Earl Grey so can't help you there, but DP likes Teadirect.

I buy Tesco's fair trade bags (black box), they're great.

Thanks for the tips, never heard of some of those brands but have seen yorkshire so will try that out - tea, branston, and marmite fill half our case every time we get over! Kids buy typical english sweets like refreshers and love hearts that they don't get here.

Yes I know a few websites for oversea delivery and even in Germany there are a couple but I think a tin of beans costs 3 to 4 times as much as in UK so we use it for emergancy cravings only (british-american-food.de)
