Just been given a smoothie maker to help on my weight loss.

I wouldn't have a clue how to make a smoothie, do you make it with milk or yoghurt or neither lol.

I just need the basic receipt for me to add the fruit that i do like, like banana, pear, strawberry, etc etc

TIA

If you're trying to lose weight, you want to make smoothies with skim milk, maybe a bit of skim yogurt, then add whatever fruit you like. Bananas are good, but hardly weight-loss material.

Pear + milk comes out ok. Banana with strawberry/plum/berries/nectarines comes out better.

Um... neither! I use apple juice. you don't need any dairy stuff to make a smooothie.

sorry I wasn't very clear, I am losing weight, but I see this more as getting the 5 portions of fruit and veg a day. I ok with the veg for dinner its the fruit tha lets me down.

I do not use any dairy I like pineapple juice or apple/mango to dilute berries, banana and kiwi.

I also do not like fruit but could eat veges all day long.
I buy fresh pineapple, melons, nectarines and peaches as they are the only realy fruit I like!
Brekkie with low fat yoghurt and its really nice!

I tend to make smoothies when the bananas are tipping over the edge of being too soft to eat. ditto raspberries or strawberries. I just bung whatever fruit I have, no milk, maybe some apple juice. I think not using a recipe is half the fun. no two smoothies are ever exactly the same. always look forward to seeing what it'll turn out like. have to say I have no time for kiwis in smoothies. snot-tastic.
