Or do I stick to Pimms?

I was told Sainbury's is good?

I haven't done any extensive testing, but we served the Aldi version (think it's called Austin's?) at our school fete the other week and it was marvellous. Pimms-tastic.

Second vote for the aldi austins

BetterTogether · 16/07/2013 21:22

Major Pimms lover here, although had only ever had "real" Pimms until last week when I had Sainsburys' Pitchers - couldn't tell the difference & would buy again :)

Served lidls Jeeves on Sunday and everyone was surprised it wasn't Pimms.

chocolatespiders · 16/07/2013 21:23

Aldi's Austins.

We did a blind taste test on this and Pimms, most people preferred the Austins to Pimms.

WandaDoff · 16/07/2013 22:53

Jeeves from Lidl. Yum.

Fozzleyplum · 16/07/2013 22:55

Another vote for the Aldi one.

AuntieMaggie · 16/07/2013 23:01

Aldi's here too - in fact I'd say Aldi over any named brand alcohol.

Bluemonkeyspots · 16/07/2013 23:04

How are you supposed to serve pimms/copy cat pimms!

Do you 50/50 with a mixer or what?

JudithOfThePiece · 17/07/2013 07:45

Blue - I think it's more like 1/8 or 1/4, like squash. There are directions on the bottle. Then add ice cubes, fruit, cucumber & mint.

JudithOfThePiece · 17/07/2013 07:46

Sorry, should have said - mix it with lemonade.

gillywillywoo · 17/07/2013 07:48

They did a test of this on This Morning a few weeks or so ago and the favourite was the one from Aldi Smile

I think real Pimms is spirit based and Austins is wine based.
