... how do you make omelette?

Is it just whisk up eggs, season, fry? Or is there more to it?

For a basic one, yes. I usually add peppers, mushrooms, cheese, or whatever I have in the fridge, if I can be bothered!

Pretty much!
Don't whisk too much, and don't fry at too high a temperature or it will be tough and bubbly.
I melt some butter gently in the pan, pour in egg mixture (you can add a little milk or cream, parsley and a little nutmeg are nice alongside salt and black pepper a seasoning), let the bottom layer set gently, push in the sides a bit to let runny egg on top spill over the edge. Tip on finely grated cheese, if you like, fold over and serve.

I also add about a tablespoonful of water per 2-egg omelette, before whisking. Makes it puff up and hold together better.
