whats for dinner<on a scorching hot day>?

we have been living on various couscous salads/pasta salads and wraps for past few days as my dcs wont eat hot food when its hot

im being nosey whats everyone else eating on MN?

meh - I might bbq a little more - i just cook what I feel like.

mind you I bbq in snow so I dont let heat dicate my cooking

Jerk pork, mashed sweet potato, youghurt, green salad and cucumber salsa.
Water melon

mmm to broad bean pasta.

We had chicken skewers with corn on the cob and potato salad today.

We also had strawberry and mango with meringues and cream - yum!

I'm too hot to eat so I might have a chicken sandwich later, DH is out so I'm treating the DC to pizza from M&S.
I am of your DC eating pasta salads etc mine don't really like cold food.

Piri piri pork, jacket spuds, corn on cob, salad and coleslaw! Can't wait!!!

Nothing. Its too hot to either cook or eat. I cant be bothered.
I told the kids to forrage in the fridge and sort themselves out.
They made sandwiches.
Ill throw something down my throat later.
My husband had SOUP! In this weather! Mad fool.

Just me eating tonight so I have a "picky plate"
Cold roast chicken, garlic anchovies, coleslaw, feta cheese, cherry tomatoes and cucumber

I had a very spicy soup at lunchtime.

Off to neighbour's BBQ in a min, must say I'm glad not to have to cook in this weather

We're having guests so more food than usual but I'm making chicken wings, potato salad, chickpea curry, lamb biryani and salad. The biryani will be served with a mint yoghurt sauce so it's a bit more cooling.

I'm having spag Bol as it's the only meal we have left. Dd hasn't touched it dp still at work

Roasted veg and halloumi! 'twas yum!

naice bread, pork pie, cured meat, cheeses, salad and olives

Hot dogs. Its not that hot here though.

Fish and chips.

Weather will never dampen my love for fish and chips.

We're barbecuing:

ribeye steak, marinated in olive oil and lemon juice
neck fillet of lamb and aubergine kebabs, marinated in yoghurt, garlic, cumin and mint, with chilli/paprika mayonnaise
halloumi, with lemon, garlic and coriander dressing
coleslaw
Puy lentil salad

And if the barbecue is still going after all that, then I have some sausages to cook as well!

Pizza!

... oh, and buffalo mozzarella wrapped in pancetta. Forgot that!

Big Caesar salad made with Sainsbury's freshly cooked chicken. Can't wait!

Just ordered a Chinese as knackered and cooked fresh all week despite not getting in with dd every night till at least 6.15pm after work and after school care.

garlic chicken and am sure they will throw in some prawn crackers!, eyes bigger than belly and doubt it will get eaten but not eaten all day as been out and about and starving!!!!

Morrisons Extra Tasty cooked chicken, plus salad and tiger bread. DD1 has been dancing all afternoon, and me there with her - so a very quick tea for all of us when we got in.

We BBQ-d again but cheated and got it all from marks. Venison burgers, chicken strips (a bit meh) and some chicken kebabs which were very good. Couple of rolls and some salad and salsa. Could not be faffed even sticking something in a marinade this morning. Although its cooled down quite a bit now.

Homegrown raspberries and cream for pud
And Prosecco.
