Mountains of Strawberries

Today I picked loads of strawberries. Far too many. I have made jam but still have around 3kg left. Any suggestions?

Have you room in your freezer to make a lot of ice cream? I made some Sunday and it was amazing!

Compote - cook the strawberries with water, sugar, corn starch and vanilla, then have it hot or cold with milk. It's lovely.

My dad used to make loads, freeze it and we'd have it all year. He'd also make a apple compote and a plum one. Absolutely divine.

You could also just freeze the berries, so you can make jam/milkshakes/compote and so on later.

Oh that's interesting, wasn't sure they'd freeze well.

Strawberry Vodka - Now you're talking!!! Made Blackberry before, never gave Strawberry a thought!
