Roast chicken

I've got a whole chicken to cook, I was going to do a roast but it's way too hot to be faffing around cooking that.

Any suggestions?

Roast the chicken and have it with salad.

Potato salad/coleslaw/pasta salad/couscous/ avocado etc.

I roasted a chicken today and we are having it in crunchy bread and salad.

Thanks for the suggestions, I think I'll go with the crusty bread and 'salady bits'.
