didn't know where to post this.
does anyone know of a muesli that has not got raisins in?
I am currently 20 weeks preggers and trying to eat healthy food.
I like muesli but think raisins are the spawn of the devil.
does anyone know of a raisinless muesli or something close?

I'm pretty sure one of the Dorset mueslis or Rude Health have one that they make a point is for raisin haters. I'll have a look and come back.

Yes, it's Rude Health No flamin Raisins.

Or you make your own, but I can get a bit expensive getting all the additions.

throckenholt · 08/07/2013 08:28

I hate them too - I usually just pick them out and feed them to the dog or the kids (whichever is around at the time !).

oh thanks ladies.
wasn't holding out much hope to be honest.

Make your own. Porridge oats mixed with nuts, dried fruit you do like, a chopped apple maybe, it's lovely, cheap, filling.....

WilsonFrickett · 08/07/2013 23:44

The Rude Health one is really nice.

urtwistingmymelonman · 09/07/2013 06:24

can you get the rude health one pretty much anywhere?

Dorset cereal do one - it says on the box 'look - no raisins!'

OhYouBadBadKitten · 09/07/2013 06:50

We make our own. Much cheaper and we get to put the bits in that we like. If you like the sweetened stuff (we dont) then just add in some icing sugar.

urtwistingmymelonman · 09/07/2013 16:06

Throckenholt Dogs shouldn't really be having raisins,

www.scotsman.com/edinburgh-evening-news/latest-news/8k-vet-bill-for-dog-who-ate-raisins-1-2855876

Some dogs are fine but not worth the risk, give them to the kids :)

mindingalongtime · 10/07/2013 16:55

I love Alpen but hate raisins, so I empty the whole box into a bowl, pick them out give them to the chickens and put it all back in the box! Beware a rouge raisin though, it happens and I hate it!

FrankSpenser · 14/07/2013 17:47

I thought I was the only one! Grin

I've always picked out the shrivelly little feckers and topped up with extra seeds/nuts. I give 'em to the kids, but the kids turn their noses up an' all.

Nothing constructive to add BTW.

The Dorset cereals nutty one has no raisins in but they put dates in instead which are worse In my opinion
