Just wondering what your 3yo little ones ate today.

Looking for a bit of inspiration before I do the food shop tomorrow Wink

DD 2.10:
Brek:
Chocolate frosted flakes, slice honeydew melon

Lunch:
Small bowl gazpacho
Tuna and potato croquettes with tomato ketchup
Fruit pot

Snack:
Bit of baguette, raisins, cherries

Dinner:
Roast chicken, rice (carrots and spinach served but spurned)

Water, milk and elderflower cordial

DS is 3.5, and today ate:

porridge for breakfast
a banana
pitta pocket with melted cheese and tomato, an apple, some grapes
a chocolate digestive
dippy egg yolks (won't eat whites), two slices toast, a baked sweet potato, melon slices, cherries, natural yogurt. I lost track of time this evening, so didn't make a proper meal!
water to drink throughout

Breakfast:
Cereal bar, a bowl of grapes, a piece of peanut butter toast.

Snack:
Brioche roll, cheese.

Lunch:
Cheese sandwich, apple, 3x Quorn scotch eggs.

Snack:
Raisins.

Dinner:
Pasta parcels plus a DS version of salad; a whole sliced pepper and some cherry tomatoes.

Ds 3.2

Breakfast - slice toast and fruit pot
Snack - apple and fruit lolly
Lunch - egg and tomato sandwich
Dinner - spaghetti bol with beef mince and veg in. Yogurt for pudding.
Treat - kinder bar
Supper - bowl of rice crispy shapes and milk

That's a good day

Ds2 ate the same except he had banana too. He's 22 months

DS1 2.11 ate:

Scotch pancake and butter
Peanut butter on wholemeal toast

Banana

Cheese cubes and rice cakes
2x melon slices

Biscuit

Bacon and mushroom ravioli with chunky veg tomato sauce

Several million chocolate buttons

My 2 and 4 year olds have had:
raisins and cheese (first breakfast)
cereal at nursery (second breakfast)
snack
Chicken curry and fruit salad
Picnic tea and icecream
egg fried rice and beefy tomatoes
bread and butter pudding

2.3yo had:

Shreddies with raisins

Cheesy crackers

Strawberries, ham, cheese, dates, carrot, pancake

A fig roll

Mango Pork curry with rice and naan bread

DS is 2.6
Breakfast: porridge and orange juice
Snack: one biscuit
Lunch: cauliflower cheese,.small piece of bread, apple
Snack: oatcake and mini oatbar
Dinner: pasta with baked tomato sauce,.cheese, refused salmon and veg, plain yogurt and honey, couple of slices if mango
Supper: rice cake with peanut butter and a couple of pieces of banana

Ds ate

  • porridge (breakfast)
  • grapes
  • jacket potato with tuna, mayo, sweetcorn and cheese and a yoghurt (lunch)
  • organix crisp things for kids, rice cakes
  • chicken, couscous, veg in tomato sauce and yoghurt
  • milk and a biscuit before bed


He seems to want to eat constantly - he's not shedding his toddler podge so worried he's going to be a bit porky :(

Shreddies 3 half slices of toast glass of milk and a apple

Banana and 2 biscuits

Cheese sandwich, strawberries, grapes, crisps

Two half slices of toast, an apple

Fish fingers, chips and peas

Yoghurt

Packet of Haribos for being a good boy getting his hair cut

In my defence our oven is broken and dinners are hard to make and were fed up with pasta

DD is 2.3.
Breakfast was corn flakes and smoothie
Lunch was a slice of homemade olive bread, an apple, raisins and crisps
Afternoon snack was a small gingerbread man and some yoghurt
Dinner was roasted new potatoes with roasted veg (red onion, peppers,courgettes) and peas. Followed by a banana.
Water to drink throughout the day.

DS aged 3.5.

BREAKFAST 2 slices toast and peanut butter, cubes of cheddar, mango juice.

SNACK cupcake (no icing), half an apple.

LUNCH pitta with cucumber. Water.

DINNER 4 fish balls (like meatballs, but fish) cucumber. Yoghurt. Apple juice. Water.

Not very inspiring. He's not a big eater, not fussy but not interested.

DDs (3.5 years and 21 months) had:

Breakfast
Cheerios with semi-skimmed (DD1) and soya milk (DD2) with a cup of milk each

Snack
Alprosoy yoghurt

Lunch
Noodles, scrambled egg, peas and sweetcorn

Snack
Biscuits, grapes and an ice cream

Dinner
Pasta with chicken and cucumber
Homemade strawberry and blueberry smoothie

Ham Sandwich with cucumber and cherry tomatoes and a yogurt

Fish Fingers, carrots and potato waffles, carrots and broccoli and gravy (yes fish fingers and gravy he is a bit odd) Chocolate Buttons for pudding.

My lo had marmite on toast for breakfast with a apple juice, lunch he had a marmite and cheese sandwich (he loves marmite) with an apple and some blackcurrant juice. At nursery he snacked on raisins, breadsticks and grapes. Dinner we had a BBQ so he had a burger, corn on the cob and more fresh juice.

Ds 3 next week had:-

Breakfast-
3 weetabix with milk
Slice of toast
1/2 pink grapefruit

Snack - croissant


Lunch -
2 hovis rolls with Philadelphia and marmite ( the only bloody sandwich filling he'll eat)
Cucumber sticks

Snack- mini cornetto

Dinner
6 or 7 Haddock goujons in wholemeal wraps with small amount of tartare sauce. More cucumber sticks and some peas.
Strawberries and watermelon
Strawberry yogurt
Innocent smoothie


400ml of milk at bedtime.

Breakfast: Two weetabix with milk, a banana

Snack: banana muffin then later a fruit juice ice lolly

Lunch: macaroni cheese, cherry tomatoes, cheese and ham sandwich, strawberries and grapes

Snack: Another banana, innocent fruit smoothie, piece of cheese

Dinner: penne bolognese, yogurt.

Wow, writing that down it seems quite a lot for a 2.5 year old- varies from day to day though!

Another ice lolly

blueberries, raspberries
umpteen Organix animal biscuits

Breakfast - weetabix, seed toast.

Snack - banana and home made muffin.

Lunch - quiche, olives and Waldorf salad.

Snack - yogurt.

Tea - ham and cheese sandwich, fruit smoothie.

This thread is making me feel much better about DS' diet - thank god other people's children are also picky and inconsistent!

Today was a v good eating day:
Breakfast - mix of dry Shreddies, Cheerios, raisins
Snack - homemade banana flapjack
Lunch - jam sarnie, quavers, grapes (lunchbag as out for the day)
Snack - lollipop (treat won while out!)
Dinner - fajitas (he only had cheese, peppers and cucumber in his wrap) and fruit salad for pud (only ate apple and melon)

He's just turned 4
