franny-if i want to use chocolate in your recipe Shock can I put it in as well as the raisins or do I need to adjust amounts accordingly?

(thanks for this -this will keep us going on our epic camping/festival trips this summer)

Btw, am Shock. YOU were LittleMy (like lightning, I am). Thought it was azroc.

FrannyandZooey · 05/06/2006 20:37

LOL

I am a woman of many disguises, not all of them franny-related

I do hope you don't all find the recipe too too crumbly. It is hard to know quite what to do with the stuff when you have made it, to stop it falling apart. I would think it would be far too sweet with chocolate in it as well, FJ, why not leave out some raisins and most of the apple juice perhaps? I don't know though, am just guessing.

Fillyjonk · 05/06/2006 21:04

too sweet

too sweet

you've lost me...

(actually I planned on using dark chocolate-g&bs probably, pos mayan gold...I shall nobly experiment)...

Another question...do you reckon you could substitute quinoa or rice flakes for the oats?

(must maximise the nutrient value of every mouthful of my kids' food...)

Fillyjonk · 06/06/2006 15:49

Franny? Hey, I meant it about the quinoa and rice flakes! What do you think?

suzywong · 06/06/2006 15:59

I think no

Oats are special, nice and chewy

FrannyandZooey · 06/06/2006 16:25

Ooh, sorry Fillyonk, I overlooked this thread. Erm, I would say, yes, try it, but it might make it even more crumbly, and that would not really be a good thing. I also don't see that quinoa or rice are really much more nutritious than oats tbh.

ANYWAY - more to the point - why don't you answer your emails? Shock Angry

Fillyjonk · 06/06/2006 18:41

emails? where?

FrannyandZooey · 06/06/2006 18:42

In your inbox, perhaps?

Wink
Fillyjonk · 06/06/2006 18:47

ok.

which inbox?

FrannyandZooey · 06/06/2006 20:08

LOL, I don't know! The one you registered with MN. I CATted you yesterday. Would you email me at frannyandzooey at india dot com, if it doesn't turn up?

Fillyjonk · 07/06/2006 14:38

have mailed you.

was racking my brains trying to think if I know anyone from near HESFES.

Oh, the reason I need to know about quinoa is that my kids don't like oats but they like quinoa. Didn't realise that you were the Quinoa Woman, though I am realising this now.

That CAT things clever, shame it doesn't work for me.

FrannyandZooey · 07/06/2006 18:05

Ooh, good, will check email.

It is quite cheering actually to think that there was one person left on MN who on seeing my name did not automatically think of quinoa :)

Fillyjonk · 07/06/2006 20:01
