DM has just had foot op so no standing around cooking for a bit. Dad is stepping into the breach as it were and needs some easy to prepare meals as the kitchen is not where you usually find him!

The non chewy bit is because DM has also just had a plate put in and is finding some meats etc a bit challenging!

He can do pasta types of things but any other ideas warmly welcomed!

Soup?
Buy them a slow cooker and then he just has to chop stuff and throw it all in and it comes out nice and tender

How basic? Pasta, pesto and peas?

Thank you- yes sheps pie he can do, no chilli/curry etc not keen on fish either! She's fussy - the fewer ingredients the better!

Get some fish, I prefer smoked haddock.
Put some rice on a pan add a mixture of 50% orange juice and 50% water. The rice should take up 1/3 of the pan and the liquid 2/3.

Chop and add the fish.

Put on the hob for 15 mins.

Toad in the hole

Scrambled eggs on toast

Ooops just seen the thing about fish - sure it would work with chicken or veg.
