It's All Good - Gwyneth Paltrow's book - any good? And similar book recommendations

I, umm, [whispers] actually quite liked her last book, Notes From My Kitchen Table. Before I splash out on the new one, has anyone got it? Are the recipes actually practical? Would I have to be ordering zillions of obscure ingredients from the internet and spending £150 a week on food?

My elder daughter has a weight problem, despite being active and my being as swotty as I know how with feeding her. So I need to go a step further and start reducing the carbs a bit more. Also DH is on a diet, so if I can help them both by turning into Gwyneth it would be great. Are there any other good cook books around with really healthy low-ish carb recipes?

I kept the free preview in the Fail on Sunday and have to say I wouldn't buy the book. There's very little in there that's ground-breaking tbh. But of course, that may be to do with the recipes they chose to put in.

Can you get it from your library? Seriously, from memory one 'recipe' is for avocado on toast. Smoosh avocado. Serve on gluten-free toasted rye bread.

The caveat on that is I don't really bake and have no interest in gluten-free baking, I do understand from here that some people really struggle to find gluten free recipes. But gluten-free doesn't mean calorie-free...

I just tend to do a search for recipes on pinterest....use the words 'clean eating'

tons of ideas

I got the last one from the library, then bought it in a WHSmith sale for £2.99. Gwyneth was way cheaper than James Martin! I will try the library first.

Also love pinterest. Great idea, thanks for the search words.
