New routine for 5 month old - help with meals please!

My dd is 5 months old; bottle fed (Aptimal Extra) and has taken well to solids; sleeping through and feeds at 8am, midday, 4pm (bottle and solids), and 7.30pm bottle before bed. I will be going back to work soon - only 3 days a week but times of meals will be different as I will be getting up earlier and taking her to carer way before usual brekkie time(her carer is a family member, so we can be flexible for now but she will go to nursery in a few months). Am I OK giving her a bottle at different times to solids (e.g. bottle at 6.30/7 am then bottle at 10am and lunch solids at 1pm, etc?) or will this encourage her to expect food every 2 hours and start waking in the night?! I would really appreciate others' advice and experiences.

I think you'll be OK. My DD is 5 months old and jsut started nursery 3 days a week, she has a different routine to the one at home and is absolutely fine about it. You will see that soon you will drop the 10AM bottle anyway - when your baby will eat a lot more solids. I do not base my asnwer on 1 but 2 chikdren having had the same experience.

My DD is also 5 months and I have a similar routine to you but she has a "mid morning snack" (bottle) around 10.30 and lunch (bottle and solids) at about 1pm and she has no problem at all sleeping thru the night goes 7.30-7.30.
