In some pitta bread with salad?

Actually cold meatballs are great. Check out Subway! I'd add sliced tomatoes, some lettuce and spread some chutney, pickle or even cold tomato pasta sauce on the bread/bread roll/wrap. A little grated cheese wouldn't go amiss either.

Think along the lines of a Kebab- meat, salad and sauce.

Another idea is to put them in a little tub with a disposable fork or spoon. Then add a tomato salad and if you have it, a dash of Tzatziki, creme fraiche, sour cream or even Philly. I have a lovely recipe for meatballs and tagliatelle served with a creme fraiche, lemon and chopped dill sauce. Kids seem to love it eaten hot or cold.

Drain them well of fat before serving cold.

I'd just chop them in quarters with some cooked pasta - DS would love that. I'd not do any sauce with it to keep it cleaner.

He has actually just taken them cold on their own too.

1/4 with couscous, pesto and raw peppers/cucumber or with comercial packet couscous.

Americans have had cold meatloaf sandwiches. This is not dissimilar. Also good with Picalilli or French mustard.

cold meatballs are amazing! I have mine with a regular salad, with extra crunchy items such as peppers.

In pittas works really well too.

these are amazing

All great ideas thanks. Think she has decided on having the pasta stuff with them.
