Frozen beef strips (raw) - marinating?

We have a bag of frozen beef strips in the freezer from Sainsburys. We normally cook as suggested on the packet - fry in a stir fry from frozen. Trouble is it makes it a bit tough for dd. Could I defrost & pop in a marinade & then cook from defrosted. Wondering if it would be more tender?

I'd defrost it in the marinade, then cook.
your method's fine too, if not defrosting in microwave!

I find stir fried beef quite chewy (Chinese takeaway), and much prefer to cook a stew on low heat, so the beef gets lovely and soft.

You want something acidic in the marinade, like lemon or lime juice, which will help tenderise the meat too.

was going to say marinate it in wine.

it's so easy, you could do it in s Travelodge

I marianade in vinegar, cumin, paprika and chilli for fajitas.
