DS has cooked it and while it tastes lovely, its almost too hot for me, don't think the DC will eat it.

Anyone got any magic tips for cooling it down?

Add ketchup.

dairy and fats help, can you add ghee or olive oil, or even some sour cream?

Also a nice swallow of milk after helps the burning tongue. Not water!

Serve with lots of natural yogurt. Large helping with rice. Relatively small helping of chili. Putting in more beans will also help as they are bland.

Demerara sugar

DS mixed it with tomato sauce, but then I think he would mix his ready brek with tomato sauce if I let him, dd chose natural yogurt.

Think we may have turned a corner with dd who has been a persistent fussy eater for a long time. She just tucked in, was so relieved.

We have some leftovers so am looking forward to eating it with jacket potatoes tomorrow.

Thanks again.
