used to have a great recipe for a sort of teabread loaf where the dried fruit was stewed in strong tea before being mixed in. Any ideas?

Sounds like Bara Brith (Welsh). Sorry don't have a recipe though. Anyone?

don't remember it being Welsh or Irish but haven't set eyes on recipe for 15 years or so. Just one of those recipes I hold fond memories of!!

Found this recipe on a welsh website but obviously haven't tried it so no idea if it is good!

thanks pegasus - the welsh one looks familiar & think the cookery teacher recipe came from hailed from those parts. Couldn't get into the Irish link but will go to the site & try to find it
