Long shot - tirimasu type recipe

Don't know if I've spelt that correctly.... I used to make a recipe that wasn't tirimasu but very similar. Basically it was cake soaked in coffee and brandy and layered up with creme fraiche or fromage frais with white chocolate melted into it.
It was really yummy and very easy to make and I want to make it for a party tomorrow but I can't find my recipe (it was in a magazine - can't remember which one) and I can't remember whether it was creme fraiche or fromage frais!
Would anyone have this old recipe or could anyone give me any tips as to which one might work better?
Thanks - MN is my last hope - I know if I can find it anywhere it will be here! Smile

I'd reckon on it being creme fraiche which is more of a slightly soured cream substitute rather than fromage frais which would be too thin and sweet

thanks Twiglett - I thought it probably was that too. Now to guess the quantities..... Grin
