revivify dry bolognese

DH made some bolognese last night and while I'm suitably grateful, it has to be said that it's a tad dry...what shall I add ?

I usually add a ladle of the pasta cooking water when the pasta is nearly cooked.

Red wine, cook it out, then add a tablespoon of tomato paste, cook that out. Then add either a carton of passata or two cans of chopped tomatoes and reduce.
