Dough scraper/cutter

DP has discovered a knack for and love of baking bread and for his forthcoming birthday I want to buy him some kit now I know he's serious about this

He would like a dough scraper/cutter but there seem to be so many types - can anyone recommend one? Are metal or silicone ones better?

]]. Quite rigid, slightly flexible. I use it also to cut dough (having discovered lines on my table after cutting dough with a knife .)

Interesting - 1 vote for a metal one and 1 vote or a plastic one - I was edging twards a plastic one but wasn't sure if plastic would cut properly or if metal would leave marks on work surface....I know what DP is like!
