it's a fillet of plaice, been in the fridge in its original packaging since I bought it and its use by date was the 17th. Is it ok I cook and freeze down or should I bin it? It's to make a few meals for 22mo dd.

I wouldn't, but then I have a morbid fear of ever getting food poisoning again in my life. Life' too short for projectile vomit, especially fishy projectile vomit.

And really don't freeze food 3 days past its use-by date! It should have been frozen on the day you bought it.

Give her beans instead.

For you, fine, but I wouldn't for your dd
