Bundt tins and recipe amounts.

I want to make DD a number 3 cake for her birthday and was planning to use two bundt tins to do this.

Ive bought a tin that is 10 inches. Do I still need a 10 inch recipe or do I need to take into account the hole in the middle and go for an 8 inch recipe?

Do you have an 8" tin? I'd fill it with water and calculate the volume to see if it holds the same amount as the 8" normal tin!
