Reheating chicken?

Can I reheat a piece of chicken pie tonight? It is made from chicken cooked Friday, made into a pie Sunday and cooked. Has been in the fridge.

Sounds a bad idea I think. Shame if it is, as it was so nice...

Definitely not. You would normally not use cooked chicken to make a pie with and cook it again like you did on Sunday. If you reheat this you cooking it for a third time. Hello food poisoning!

Normally you would use fresh uncooked chicken in making a pie. Any leftover pie could then go in the fridge and be reheated one final time. You shouldn't cook the chicken, then cook it again in a pie, and you really are asking for trouble to think of cooking it for a 3rd time!

Thanks, I won't then!

I thought it was usual to use cooked chicken when making a pie

See example bbc recipe here www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/9433/

However, I definitely wouldn't reheat the pie again

Cook once, reheat once

I always use cooked chicken to make pie. In fact, today I made one with chicken that was roasted on Friday and has been in the fridge since. No one has been ill yet.

I would.
I always make chicken pies big enough to do two days.
