Just that really! Put 1.4kg joint in with onions and coke and all that shiz just over four hours ago intending to have dinner in a couple more hours when kids got back from activities.
However, they are staaaarving, and want to be fed within the hour - before activities.
Will it be cooked?

Too late now! But I always do it on high for 6 hours and then turn it down to low until we're ready for it. What did you do in the end?

Well, by the time they'd got ready for everything, and I'd done potatoes and veg, (and chips, and more veg....did I say they were staaaarving?) it had been in for over 5 hours -on high- so I thought I'd chance it, and it was fine!
