Best fish curry recipe for non-fish-lovers?

I know I can google "fish curry", but I'd like a personal recommendation, even if it is from imaginary internet people :)

It's Saturday, I'm going to walk to the interesting ethnic shops and get spices and stuff, so I don't mind a long list of ingredients.

I do need to be told what kind of fish to buy.

I don't want lots of weirdy seafoody shellfishy things, just some lumps of fish.

I've been out and bought a bunch of spices, and to an actual fishmonger, who recommended that I just use some cod (sustainable happy cod, which he then cut up nicely for me).

I will probably go for Jamie Oliver if I don't get a better recommendation

I'm not a fish lover but I used to like a monkfish curry. Monkfish comes in solid chunks which don't dissolve and is less fishy than other fish.
Will go look for recipe.

I had a cull of cookery books and took about 20 to the charity shop.

I looked in 4 big cookery books and none of them had a fish curry recipe -- some had prawn curry recipes but no "chunks of fish".

Monkfish sounds good, maybe I'll try that next time.

I saw that recipe does not have lemon juice.. you NEED lemon juice, just squeeze a bit, to taste, just before serving over your curry. Fingers crossed you have lemons in the house..

Have you got any yogurt and cucumber, and fresh coriander? It would be very nice to have a simple raita with it. Peel cucumber, discard the wet seedy bit, grate the flesh, add salt and drain in colander. (clove of garlic? if you like) add yogurt and chopped coriander, done.

I have yoghurt and cucumber and mint. Not convinced that I am going to peel a cucumber and throw away half of it, but I can probably do something useful.
