Cooked a chicken last night which was one day past use by date. Not usually too worried by these dates. Put said chicken into fridge overnight. Would you eat it today or is it now 2 days out of date and potentially going to make us all sick??

I would, if it looks and smells ok then it is ok. I would have thought that cooking it would extend its life iykwim.

I'd eat it. I think of ' use by' as ' cook by' and one day over is probably ok. You can smell when a chicken is off.
