From memory I just kept offering tsp until the dc weren't interested. Except when first weaning when I upped the tsp gradually over a week. One of my DC had a voracious appetite so I stopped when I thought it was sufficient. Other dc could hardly be bothered to eat so I tended to offer until he was full (lost interest, starting spitting it out or throwing it!)

You could also try the weaning section, but I'm sure someone else will be along shortly!
