Tried a Jamie Oliver 15 min chilli sauce- Passat, spring onion, paprika, and coriander, left out the peppers. I've messed it up but don't want to waste it. It's really acidic despite cooking longer than 15 mins.

Anyone got a clever idea to make it edible?

TIA

Sorry, it sounds yuck... Try adding a bit of sugar to counter the acidity?

AdoraBell · 03/04/2013 00:39

It really is yuk, done the sugar trick already, might just have to bin it.

You could add a little Sodium Bicarb to try an neutrilize the acid, might work.

what's it too acidic with, the tomatoes? What about some yoghurt or cream?

AdoraBell · 03/04/2013 11:50

Yes, it seems to be the tomato, I'll try your ideas and see how it goes.

Thank you.
