this is how i make it and its nice

2 carrots chopped (best pre cookes otherwise they are rock hard)
1 onion
2 celery chopped
some mushrooms
2 tins tommies
garlic
tommie puree
and i use worcestershire sauce

fry onion garlic celery and mushroom still soft then remove and fry the mince once thats done add onion etc and then some tommie puree and then tin tommies and some worcestershire sauce and leave to simmer for 1/2hr to 1hr

i did this on sat and it took 1hr tops and that included preparation, you can leave to simmer for 1/2hr but ideally longer to get a better flavour Grin

quickest is to buy one ready made!!! WinkGrin

Otherwise borwn the mince and cover with pasta sauce

I do the carrots/tomato puree/onion/garlic.... thing usually but takes forever

Fry mince and chopped onion/garlic in olive oil. Add chopped mushrooms and peppers and fry more. Add tin of toms, tin of tom puree and herbs. Heat through. Can be done in 15 mins.

Grate the carrots rather than chopping.

Cooks quicker, thickens the sauce and solves the problem of faddy eaters. Multitasking carrot Grin
