I used to bake and cook tons but recently life has got in the way so I have enjoyed a bit of pottering in the kitchen and have made
A simnel cke (1st time ever)
chocolate rice crispie /easter nests
Lemon pavlova with homemade lemon curd
And tomorrow am making a roast lamb dinner.
It's (hopefully) all going to be yummy.

Pavlova was great - have lots of lemon curd leftover!

I have stored the curd ready for some scones

I made Easter bonnets like my nan used to make. Easter biscuits, then iced with a marshmallow on top to make the bonnet. Then little flowers :-) mine werent quite as pretty as my nans though!

It won't pose a great challenge to use it up - dcs love lemon curd on bread, toast anything really!

We're doing the big celebration tomorrow.

I have made a simnel cake (never even seen one before let alone tried one), which is cooling and then will decorate.

Hot cross buns - dough is rising.

Chocolate crispy cakes - kids made them with supervision.

Tomorrow lunch is roast leg of lamb, roasted balsamic baby potatoes, carrots, asparagus, broccoli and red wine gravy.

Should be good.
