Frozen mash - need help fast!

Can I just stick it on top of the shepherds pie , still frozen, and bake for 30min??

Also can I then freeze leftovers and reheat later ( would like to make some mini portions for DC) - even though mash has been previously frozen?

I've discovered it thanks to mumsnet, but a little unsure

I wouldn't refreeze tbh. But I have cooked pre frozen mash right from the freezer, so you are ok for that part by me!!

Oh no was hoping it would be fine! Could I keep leftovers in fridge and reheat even?

Anyone? Waiting to top my pie or male last minute switch to spag Bol (I don't cook anything unless DC can have some leftovers!)

Fridge and reheat might be ok. But you take a risk with leftovers IMO

Thank you- decided not to risk it!
And I thought frozen mash was the solution to all my problems!!

You can re-freeze after thorough cooking.
