Ground almonds for toddlers

I love baking with ground almonds and would like to introduce them to my boy's diet, he is 17 months. I think I am right in saying almonds are the least troublesome when it comes to nut allergies, but most of the things I read say it's fine 'if there is no history of allergy in the family' - well this seems a bit vague. No one in our families is allergic to nuts but I have awful hayfever. Any advice?!

I think you just have to try it and keep an eye on his reaction. Mine had nut based things including ground almonds, marzipan and peanut butter from first tastes.

Ds had peanut butter from weaning and ground almonds in baking. Keep an eye on him for any reaction.
