Minced beef
Potatoes
Onions
Lentils
Pitta bread
Tomatoes
Have a range of sauces/herbs.
Was doing cottage pie but we had a heavy filling meal last night and don't fancy it again..
I have kidney beans so thinking chilli/baked potatoes but any other ideas please?

Hotpot? You could make it veggie, with the lentils and save the beef for tomorrow, if it will keep, thus avoiding the problem of 2 say in a row of heavy meals.

Mince and tatties, stovies, sloppy joe type things, tattie soup, if you have pasta you could do bolognese, home made burgers and wedges?

I'd be tempted to go for mince and potatocurry but it works better with lamb mince. You can't go wrong with good old fashioned mince and tatties though.

How about some spicy burgers to stuff in the pittance bread?

MotherOfNations · 25/03/2013 16:04

Pitta bread even.

Make Turkish-style pizzas? (lachmajcun? sp??!) - cook the beef with tomato puree, onions, tinned tomatoes and some paprika and chilli flakes till it's reduced/nice and thick (but drier than spag bol consistency) then use it to top the pitta breads, along with some chopped fresh tomatoes, and pop them under the grill to toast.
