please help me with tin size for Delia cake

I need to ascertain the size of my loaf tin (recipe calls for 450g) and all I can think of is to pour 450ml water into the tin... the water comes halfway up the tin but I'm none the wiser!

I'm thinking that you possibly have a 2lb loaf tin and the recipe is for a 1lb tin. A 1lb tin would be quite small...
