Help me find a good food processor!

Hi all, I had an Argos cookworks food processor which was brilliant and cheap but I broke it. At Christmas I got a kenwood one from Tesco without checking reviews (don't know model offhand) but its completely rubbish. Doesn't mix things properly, blades go round but the contents end up on the sides/ bottom unmixed. I therefore need a new one (presume Tesco won't take this one back unboxed and don't know where the receipt is)

By the way, I didn't get another cookworks because the reviews for the latest model aren't great.

Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced, food processor? It needs to be a fairly big capacity. I am looking at spending around £50 although if there's a really good one that will last I'm willing to spend more. There doesn't seem to be a clear winner when looking at reviews on amazon and Argos.

My kenwood sometimes spreads stuff up the side rather than mixing, usually if I've overfilled it. Can't you just shove it all down with the plastic spatula?

Still much easier than doing it by hand...

Nowhere near overfilled mrshoarder and my cookworks one never did it. Tis just rubbish.

Save up your £50, then another, and another.... then buy a Magimix. It'll last 10x as long, power through anything you give it and be well worth the extra cash and the time spent saving up.

I asked my DH to look around for a good one for me as it would be my first and I didn't have a clue (he enjoys all the gadget research much more than I do) and we ended up getting a Bosch which was rated a Best Buy by Which magazine (and still is). I read the reviews about it on Amazon and ended up getting it from John Lewis for £85. Does everything the reviews said. X

I just bought this one and really like it. Easy to use and clean and it's compact too

@CogitoErgoSometimes - totally seconded. I think mine was around £130 but it's been brilliant and versatile, and is very durable. (I also have a Kenwood Chef mixer but don't use it nearly as much as the Magimix.)
