String for cooking?

Do I need special string to tie up a stuffed belly pork or can I just use ordinary string?

This maybe a really stupid question I appreciate but the recipe just says string!!!

I think as long as it isn't blue (a la Bridget Jones soup) you should be fine...

Yes - but use cotton string, not nylon or baler twine!
