Bread maker recipes

Have started to use my bread maker again after a few years of it sitting in the cupboard. I got bored with it before as I never managed to turn out a really nice loaf. Now I'm using packet mixes (Wrights etc) which are nice but not v cost effective!

So your best recipes are needed. I found a naan one on another thread but I need more to convince me to use it. Any type of bread, cake etc.

My standard loaf for the medium size, 'rapid' setting in the Panasonic

7oz strong plain flour
7oz strong wholemeal flour
1 tablespoon skimmed milk powder
good knob of butter
280ml water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tsp sugar
1 sachet Hovis yeast for bread machines.

Works every time for me

I find the best thing to do with bread making is experiment. An experienced bread maker told me this and I've never looked back. My very best loaf uses milk instead of water, had chopped rosemary, pine nuts, etc. try cheesy toppings, poppy seeds - honestly, people adore home made bread so much, so will rarely go wrong!

Try a paul Hollywood plaited style loaf. I did it with my class for fun and it was chaos. Here's,one I tried at home.
