Last week there was a Cake sale at school, so tried a piece of lovely moist cake, turned out to be made from weetabix! No idea you could cook with it and no idea which mum made it, so can't ask her for recipe. But it was so delicious, top marks for baking to her!

Any one got a recipe???

I'd love to try, Thanks.

Ooh there's one by the woman who came second in last years GBBO. Her website is The Pink Whisk and it's on there.

I haven't made it for ages, will go and have a look myself Smile

Definitely going to have a go at that recipe, thankyou all for getting back so quick, looks tasty.
I'm wondering if there are more versions, if you could add other ingredients?

OhMyNoReally, I have a wonderful image of you and DS, that was me a few years ago, brings back wonderful memories...

300g SR flour
300g mixed dried fruit
2 wetabix
300 ml milk
1 egg
50g white sugar
1 tsp mixed spice

cream together egg and sugar
crush weetabix into egg. Add fruit, flour and mixed spice. Mix well.
Make a well in the centre and add milk til well mixed.

Pour into a greased loaf tin.
Cook at 180 C for 1 hr (tho I've written in it needs less time).

Enjoy
