Am looking at getting myself one as household bread demands are getting ridiculous. What do mumsnetters think of them? Can anyone recommend a brand? What should I be looking for? Atm ive found one i like on ebay, I think its cookworks but dont quote me on that.

Panasonic. Costly but even I can make a good loaf in one.

We got a hand me down one from my grandparents and got hooked but then it stopped working reliably.

I replaced it with the latest Panasonic - not cheap (£140) but very good. Got a loaf due to finish in 10 mins so there is a lovely smell throughout the house!

I really am not sure about the economics as I do think we eat more bread so not sure if it is real savings but for us it's knowing what's in it. I also invested in an electric knife as it's easier to cut when warm and easier to avoid huge doorstops!

Definitely panasonic! I replaced my breville with a panasonic. Bread is so much nicer, never had a bad loaf in over a year. Worth every penny.
